Description
An enticing bouquet of rich berries, cherry, blackberry and pepper open on an inviting nose and complement the beautiful ruby red hue. Good structure from the Tempranillo and gentle sweetness and a fleshy mouthfeel imparted by the Grenache fruit create a well balanced wine with moderate spiciness and softer notes of vanilla on a smooth finish.
Enjoy Red X with burgers, pizza, pasta or a juicy steak – this wine will hold up.
Vintage/Vineyard Information
The 2008 vintage proved to be one of the most dramatic. Despite a severe April frost and low tonnage, quality and flavor development were high.
